About This Destination
Tucked deep in the eastern Karakoram, the Charakusa Valley is Pakistan's best-kept trekking secret. The journey begins in Skardu and winds through the Hushe Valley — home to authentic Balti villages — before ascending through rocky moraines, glacial streams, and wildflower meadows to the breathtaking Charakusa Basecamp at ~4,200m. Here, the granite spires of K6 (7,282m) and K7 (6,934m) dominate the skyline alongside Laila Peak, Link Sar, and Namika. Unlike Concordia or Fairy Meadows, Charakusa sees very few visitors — offering solitude, raw wilderness, and photographic drama that rivals the world's great mountain trails. TravelBug.pk handles every permit, porter, and camp so you experience only the magic.
